Tyler’s Letter – 07/16/2016

Hello everyone!

Once again – emailing on Saturday. Today is our P-Day because it’s the last week of this transfer, and transfers happen on Monday. I received a new assignment! I’m going to head down to Kalamazoo City and I’m going to be training a brand new missionary! I have no idea who this missionary is going to be, or where they are from, but I am very excited. Whitewash training is going to be difficult, I am sure, but I know that God is the one who the assignment really came from, and he knows I can do it with His help. Thank you all for your love and support, which has helped me get this far. Can you believe I am nearing the halfway mark?? The days seem to pass like a blur sometimes, even though some days feel like they will never end…

We have experienced countless miracles here in the Oscoda area and I’m so grateful to have been able to be a part of the work here. Big things are happening here, lots of changes, and people’s hearts are turning towards missionary work.

Rob is getting baptized today and has asked me to be the one to perform the baptism. He has a very strong testimony and knows what we share is true, and he is so prepared to make this commitment in his life. I’m so grateful to the chance to have been able to teach him and see the light in his face grow and he has allowed God into his life.

My brothers and sisters, I know that God lives. I know it without a shadow of a doubt. He loves you, He loves me, He loves our families, and our loved ones, and He loves our enemies, too. This life is just a small part of a great plan that He has for us, a wonderful plan – The Plan of Salvation. I will serve God to the end of my life. I have experienced sin, and I have experienced righteousness. I know where they lead, and I know what side I am on. My friends and family, I love you, and I want you to be happy, and Christ’s Gospel is the ONLY way to experience true happiness. Everything else is fleeting. Everything else is temporary. Christ’s Gospel is love. Love for God, Love for your fellow men and women, and it is taught in the Scriptures. The Bible is scripture, it is the word of God. The Book of Mormon is scripture, and is the word of God. Both of them He has brought forth for us to understand and experience true happiness eternally, with God, and with our families.
